Position Overview


We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Math Teacher to join our growing faculty for the 2025/2026 academic year with a strong foundation in mathematics. As a faith-based Armenian school, we value educators who excel in teaching and foster a disciplined, engaging, and values-driven learning environment.


Key Responsibilities


Instruction & Curriculum Development

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality math lessons aligned with grade-level standards.
  • Use various teaching methods, including direct instruction, guided practice, and interactive problem-solving.
  • Adapt instructional strategies and materials to meet diverse learning needs and abilities.
  • Incorporate real-world applications and critical thinking exercises to enhance student understanding.

Classroom & Student Management

  • Establish and maintain a structured, disciplined, and supportive classroom environment.
  • Set clear expectations for behavior and academic performance, ensuring students remain engaged and accountable.
  • Address classroom challenges promptly, fairly, and consistently.
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive, timely feedback to guide improvement.

Student Engagement & Communication

  • Foster a classroom culture where students feel encouraged to ask questions, explore mathematical concepts, and develop problem-solving skills.
  • Maintain regular communication with students and parents regarding academic progress and behavioral expectations.
  • Serving as a mentor and role model, reinforcing Christian values and the school's faith-based mission.

Collaboration & Professional Development

  • Work closely with faculty, staff, and administration to support student success and school initiatives.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, committees, and professional development opportunities.
  • Stay informed on best practices in math instruction and classroom management.

School & Community Involvement

  • Engage in school-wide activities and events, contributing to the school's academic and faith-based community.
  • Uphold and model the school's mission, values, and policies.

Qualifications & Requirements


Educational Background & Expertise

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Valid teaching credential or equivalent experience in math instruction.

Instructional & Classroom Management Skills

  • Strong understanding of mathematical concepts and best practices in teaching math at the elementary and/or middle school level.
  • Proven ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans tailored to student needs.
  • Excellent classroom management skills, maintaining discipline while fostering a positive and respectful learning environment.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build meaningful relationships with students, parents, faculty, and staff.
  • A strong team player with a commitment to collaboration and continuous improvement.

Faith & Mission Alignment

  • Commitment to upholding the school's Christian values and integrating faith-based principles into teaching and student interactions.
  • Familiarity with Armenian heritage and culture is a plus, but not required
