Salary Range: $75,000-$90,000
About the Role:
As a K-2 Math Instructional Coach, you will play a key leadership role in supporting teachers, strengthening instructional practices, and enhancing math outcomes for early elementary students. You will:
- Partner with K-2 classroom teachers to develop and refine math lesson plans aligned to Common Core and school-wide goals.
- Model high-quality math instruction and co-teach lessons to support teacher development and student engagement.
- Analyze student data to identify trends, inform instruction, and design targeted interventions for struggling learners.
- Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and professional development to K-2 teachers to enhance instructional effectiveness.
- Collaborate with school leaders to ensure math instruction is rigorous, engaging, and equitable across all classrooms.
What We're Looking For:
- A valid New York State Teaching Certification (early childhood or elementary certification strongly preferred).
- At least a bachelor's degree (preferably in Education, Mathematics, or a related field).
- Minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience, with a strong background in K-2 math instruction.
- Prior experience in instructional coaching, teacher mentorship, or professional development preferred.
- Proven track record of raising student achievement in math, especially in early elementary grades.
- Must complete and clear a New York State fingerprint background check (IdentoGo) before starting employment.
