seasonal Materials Receiving Clerk to perform routine clerical and recordkeeping activities to accurately record direct materials in ERP system (PeopleSoft) to ensure accurate costing, payment, and inventories. This is a seasonal position supporting our fresh pack season, typically June - October, at our TomaTek plant in Firebaugh, CA. This.

Key Responsibilities: - Ensures that materials received match approved specification requirements; identifies materials to PeopleSoft (P/S) numbers by purchase orders and enters receipts in P/S timely and accurately.
- Reconciles physical receipts (source documents) to P/S entries; prepares daily reconciliation of physically received direct materials vs. quantities entered in P/S by item number.
- Works with Direct Sr. Buyer with Return to Vendor (RTV) and ensures materials are physically returned and properly recorded in P/S; ensures CR Memo or payment is issued by vendor.
- Research discrepancies from material in stock as necessary and make recommendations to correct discrepancies; verify discrepancies related to shortages during the receiving process to be reported and allocated to MRB as needed.
- Ensures dock appointments for incoming materials are handled according to department request, expediting report and company protocol.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED; associate's degree in business, Accounting, Supply Management, or related field preferred; or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties of the job
- Two years' experience in inventory control in a manufacturing environment. Experience in food manufacturing preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word and some knowledge of ERP materials management system (PeopleSoft).
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, work extended hours, weekends, and any shift assigned during the fresh pack season, typically July to early October.
Compensation: The hourly wage is $21 - $24, based on experience and qualifications.
