APR Consulting, Inc. has been engaged to identify a Materials Management Planner


Location: Santa Ana, CA 92703

Position: Materials Management Planner

Pay Rate: $43- $51/hr

Duration: 6 months

Schedule: 8am-5pm, 5 days/week


Responsibilities:

  • Replenishment and Inventory Management:
  • Overseas the replenishment of consumable items, shop supplies, safety supplies, floor stock, and chemical products to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Identifies, monitors, and maintains inventory levels to avoid overstocking or shortages.
  • Collaboration and Coordination:
  • Works closely with Maintenance Resource Management to establish and maintain Bills of Materials for standard jobs.
  • Coordinates with CAMM procurement staff to ensure timely material acquisitions and delivery.
  • Problem Solving and Reporting:
  • Monitors back-ordered items and expedites bus-down and priority shortages.
  • Prepares and distributes management and planning reports to provide clear visibility into material availability and supply chain performance.
  • Supplier Management and Continuous Improvement:
  • Manages supplier contracts and develops data-driven algorithms to project and plan for consumables and safety supplies.
  • Develops continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and customer service.

Qualifications:

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in business or public administration, or related field and a minimum of five years of materials management and supply chain experience or a high school diploma with a minimum of nine years of materials management and supply chain experience. Two years of previous leadership experience is preferred.

  • Inventory Management Systems: Experience with Inventory management system, Ellipse or similar platforms.
  • Automotive or Bus Fleet Knowledge - Familiarity with automotive and bus parts categories, as well as maintenance requirements.
  • Compliance & Safety - Understanding of procurement regulations and proper handling of hazardous materials.
  • Performance Metrics & Reporting - Proficiency in Excel and Word to review performance metrics, track fill rates, analyze stock turnover, and assess inventory trends.
