Position: Supply Chain-Material Planner III

Location: Austin, TX (Onsite)

Duration: 12+ Months Contract (Extension Possible)

Max Pay Rate: $53.25/hr on W2 with Benefits


Job Summary:

The Material Planner III plays a vital role in ensuring timely delivery of materials to our client's manufacturing partners. This position supports the production of compute, storage, and AI racks for global data centers and warehouses. You will manage material flow, optimize supply chain processes, and collaborate closely with both internal teams and external partners.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Materials Planning: Collaborate with ODMs and supply/demand planning teams to maintain accurate subcomponent supply data and meet delivery timelines.
  • Risk Management: Ensure MRP readiness with ODMs and proactively address material shortages and supply chain disruptions.
  • Partner Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, ODM partners, and suppliers.
  • Supply Chain Optimization: Analyze data to enhance processes and tools supporting materials management.
  • Process Improvement: Drive efficiency through continuous evaluation of materials management practices using data and industry best practices.
  • Metrics & Reporting: Assist in defining and tracking KPIs for PO placement, PO coverage, and inventory levels. Collaborate with inventory leads to ensure optimal stock at ODMs and 3PLs.
  • Prioritization & Flexibility: Manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • MRP Analysis: Analyze demand/supply trends and MRP reports to inform procurement and planning decisions.
  • Cross-Functional Support: Coordinate material allocation strategies to maximize rack supply.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in procurement, operations, or supply chain management (technology industry preferred).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and drive business decisions.
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment and manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent project management and multi-tasking capabilities.
  • Experience working across cross-functional, global teams in multiple time zones.
