Description Performing supply chain and logistics functions, such as material requisitions (P-Card and POs), production planning, inventory control, outsourcing, vendor selection, and price negotiation Providing customer information and assuring that support requirements and schedules are met Attending meetings to discuss material status Maintaining material procurement reports to be delivered to the customer Maintaining and tracking material requirements to ensure continued support of deployed systems and/or products Maintaining procurement requirements database (PRD) and Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP system Maintaining inventory required by engineering/shipyard drawings Providing information for the tracking and storage of government furnished equipment Maintaining electronic technical library Maintaining all supply support documents Acting as lead point of contact for all logistic functions on RCOH projects Managing Material Requests (MR) from SRC personnel performing installation activities aboard ships during overhaul at Newport News Shipbuilding in Newport News, VA Maintaining and tracking serialized material requisitions to completion based on MRs Monitoring and managing MR procurement at SRC Charleston and SRC Virginia for all shipboard material requirements through delivery to the shipboard production personnel Building and maintaining material status tracker in real time and post to SRC network for visibility to all stakeholders Coordinating with SRC personnel at NNS and SRC subcontractors in the Norfolk, Virginia area to ensure the material needs of SRC installers are met Wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times when working within designated areas in various weather conditions Requirements Employment is contingent upon being granted access to Newport News Shipbuilding shipyard by HII Detail-oriented Management experience, ability to lead a team Experience with the Navy Maintenance and Modernization Process and Shipboard availabilities for surface ships Experience with MRP or ERP process or applications Experience with procurement utilizing Purchase-Card and Purchase Orders Experience with inventory control/warehousing Experience with Integrated Logistics Support Experience with Technical Data Packages Experience with Life Cycle Logistics Experience with shipyards Knowledge of Configuration Management Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Excel, Word) Ability to read and understand engineering drawings Ability to compile bills of materials from drawings and change documents Experience with supply chain support of rapidly changing manufacturing or installation environment Liaison between SRC shipboard personnel and SRC subcontractors Current Professional Logistics Certification - i.e., Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certified in Lifecycle Acquisition Logistics Level 1, or have equivalent logistics training (resume to specify all equivalent training), or possess an additional two (2) years working in direct support of defense life-cycle logistics Desired Skills Experience with CMPro, MBPS, CDMD-OA, ICAPS, MERLIN, or NDE Knowledge of the DFAR Experience in Military/Navy logistics Experience analyzing engineering/systems management data Experience developing Logistics Plans and Procedures Experience developing Logistics Management Plans and Guidelines US NAVY C4I experience, preferably RCOH or other modernization efforts Clearance Information SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AND ELIGIBILITY FOR A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL Travel Requirements No travel required About Us Scientific Research Corporation is an advanced information technology and engineering company that provides innovative products and services to government and private industry, as well as independent institutions.
