This position requires experience in the administration of IT hardware and software procurement and is responsible for providing analytical support to help improve procurement processes.
HOW A MATERIAL ANALYST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Duties & Responsibilities - Identifies and analyzes business needs, conducts requirements gathering, and defines scope and objectives
- Integrate with multiple stakeholders
- Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to identifying and eliminating duplication, outsourcing opportunities, streamlining, centralizing, business improvement processes, manufacturing improvement processes, and/or vendor selection Guide the procurement team through systems upgrades and integrations into business systems.
- Gather user requests and interpret them into understandable requirements.
- Conduct gap analyses against proposal and executable Bill of Materials
- Problem resolution for procurement issues, which at times will require investigation into data quality issues to identify corrective action
- Liaison to the procurement team, facilitating planning, tracking and collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Uses quantitative analysis methodology to perform data, cost and benefit, and/or process measurement analysis
- Write and support training materials for program workforce in order to facilitate adoption of new processes
- Provides expertise on continuous process improvement strategies, organizational redesign, change management projects, and performance measures for basic business process engagements
Desired skills or experience: - Proficient in using MS Excel and SharePoint
- Attention to Detail
- IT Material basic knowledge OR Familiarity Government/DoD Contract Structure and Financial Management Rules
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer systems, logistics or related field.
- 5+ years' experience with specifically providing technical support for inventory and procurement modules.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal or no supervision.
- Government contracting industry experience is preferred.
- Must be a U.S. Person under ITAR and EAR (i.e. U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or protected individual such as a refugee or asylee).
This is not a supply chain position, but would be a good move for someone wanting to move out of that role; move into customer application

The likely salary range for this position is $105,622 - $131,999. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
