Job Title: Master Planner

Location: Hazel Crest, IL

Salary: $65,000-$90,000


LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a Master Planner to join our client's organization in the Hazel Crest, IL area.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimize material flow and delivery using MRP, internal planning, and forecasting tools.
  • Analyze and revise production plans to provide appropriate delivery dates.
  • Respond proactively to engineering changes to minimize obsolescence and shortages.
  • Perform capacity planning and establish materials planning policies.
  • Develop and work with key performance metrics such as inventory turns and delivery performance.
  • Provide technical information to support sales, production, and service functions.
  • Facilitate the Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning process meetings and data updates.
  • Use data analytics to identify trends and areas for improvement in planning and scheduling.
  • Conduct scenario planning to assess the impact of changes on project schedules.
  • Utilize ERP and other tools for scheduling and refine scheduling processes.
  • Identify and manage dependencies between tasks and projects.
  • Monitor project performance against the established schedule and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Provide regular status reports and communicate potential risks associated with project schedules.
  • Develop contingency plans and maintain accurate documentation related to project schedules.

Qualifications:

  • High competency and understanding of supply chain processes and procedures.
  • Strong professional communication skills (oral and written).
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems and resolve conflicts.
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of Programs.
  • BA/BS degree with 3+ years related experience.
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems (Epicor preferred).
  • BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Operations Management (preferred).
  • 5+ years' experience in managing manufacturing processes, productivity, and efficiency measurements (preferred).
  • Experience with similar heavy equipment OEM companies (preferred).
  • APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) (preferred).
