The Planet Group is looking for a
Marketing Technology Program Manager to join our well-known Fortune 500 client on a 12-month contract. This role will be 40 hours per week and is hybrid in Culver City, CA or Cupertino, CA.
The
Marketing Technology Program Manager will work with a wide variety of cross-functional teams, with a focus on building technology solutions that enable and enhance meaningful programs with partners through our many communication channels.
Marketing Technology Program Manager Responsibilities:
- Be part of a team that defines the future direction of tools and technology, gathering requirements and distilling the key functionality needed to grow digital services.
- Ideate, design and deliver tangible solutions for large-scale global marketing initiatives.
- Identify and manage key opportunities that will help drive owned and paid media, and the growth of customer bases. Opportunities will focus on driving awareness, conversions, and cost savings.
- Manage, track and communicate project updates and performance through recurring meetings, recap reports, and executive presentations.
- Manage landing page and creative asset requests, and work directly with developers and cross-functional teams to deliver on schedule.
- Support set up, testing, messaging and reporting for affiliate partners, to help the team deliver across key KPIs.
- Determine capabilities and limitations of the team, and quantify associated risks and cost involved for projects.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, design, and product marketing teams across product launches and updates.
- Manage and influence tools roadmaps with engineering and other key stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to grow suite of tools by understanding common, ongoing needs of the business.
- Act as a resource for internal teams and key external partners to help in day-to-day troubleshooting, education, and communication.
- Manage the implementation of new tools by providing the necessary training and documentation.
Marketing Technology Program Manager Qualifications:
- BA or BS Degree preferred
- 5+ years of professional experience in project/campaign management, product marketing, or digital marketing.
- Creative thought leader with a passion for finding solutions to problems with marketing technology.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and thrive in a very dynamic environment.
- Results-oriented, collaborative and focused with a strong passion to learn and succeed.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Self-starter who is dedicated and demonstrates creative and critical thinking abilities, with ability to identify opportunities and develop a plan to act.
- Strong interpersonal skills and can communicate clearly and concisely across leadership, colleagues and external partners. Including the ability to effectively explain analytical outcomes and technical roadblocks.
- Proficient hands-on knowledge of effective marketing strategies in the digital and social landscape.
- Exceptional presentation skills and able to deliver impactful presentations across all levels of the organization through the art of storytelling.
- Experience with cross-functional influence, translating between business owners and technical teams.
- Thrive under pressure, with proven experience working on complex, global, high-visibility, and time critical projects.
- Knowledgeable with Apple, Android, and Chrome ecosystems.
- Experience with API integrations.
- Solid understanding of web technologies and CMS systems, with ability to draft requirements and effectively communicate with engineering teams.
- Familiar with emerging engineering systems and experience in implementing key practices.
- Risk management experience including identification, mitigation and reduction tracking.
- Understand different project management techniques including Agile and waterfall.
- Understand digital image and video file formats, and proficiency with Sketch, Photoshop, and Adobe CC.
