Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and multi-skilled Marketing Specialist to join our team. This full-time role combines creative, technical, and strategic responsibilities. The ideal candidate will manage the steel group's online presence, design internal and external communications, and contribute to the preparation of compelling technical proposals. This is a dynamic, hands-on position that plays a vital role in the company's marketing and business development efforts.
Key Responsibilities: - Website Management & Design:
- Update, maintain, and improve company websites across all affiliated entities.
- Ensure site content is accurate, current, and aligned with brand standards.
- Implement SEO strategies to improve search engine rankings.
- Social Media & Digital Marketing:
- Manage all company social media accounts.
- Create and schedule engaging content that reflects company values and projects.
- Monitor performance analytics and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Graphic Design:
- Design marketing materials, internal communications, and digital/print advertisements.
- Produce visual content including infographics, brochures, banners, PowerPoint presentations, and more.
- Ensure brand consistency across all platforms and materials.
- Technical Proposal Writing:
- Collaborate with management, estimating, business development, and operations teams to develop technical proposals.
- Draft, edit, and format high-quality responses for RFPs, RFQs, and design-assist pursuits.
- Ensure proposals are professionally presented and meet client specifications and deadlines.
- On-Site Content Development:
- Periodically travel to job sites and company locations to document work in progress and completed projects.
- Capture photos, gather employee insights, and create content for marketing and promotional use.
- Conduct interviews with department leaders to understand ongoing needs and priorities for marketing support.
- Cross Departmental Support:
- Work with the various departments and executive leadership to support internal campaigns and employee engagement efforts.
- Provide creative support for events, newsletters, training content, and special initiatives.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Web Design, Journalism, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role, ideally in the construction, manufacturing, or industrial sectors.
- Proficiency in web design tools (WordPress, HTML/CSS), Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), and Microsoft Office.
- Strong proofreading and technical writing skills.
- Experience preparing proposals for construction or engineering projects is a plus.
- Working knowledge of social media management tools.
- Excellent project management and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel periodically to company locations and job sites.
- Photography and video editing experience is a plus.
