The Marketing Specialist position supports Williams-Keepers LLC's integrated internal and external marketing initiatives. This full-time role focuses on in-house content creation, digital communication, branding, recruiting support, and marketing coordination activities as well as work with external consultants on website management, SEO, and select strategy functions.
This position is available immediately and can work from either WK's Columbia or Jefferson City office, and some travel between offices is required. The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated success with applicable duties as acquired through 2 to 5 years' experience in a similar position, and compensation is commensurate with experience. This role reports to members of WK's executive leadership team and is eligible for the firm's full benefits package, including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, 401(k)/profit sharing plan, paid time off, and flextime.

Essential Responsibilities
Content & Communication
- Develop concise, compelling content for newsletters, blog posts, email campaigns, industry niche marketing efforts, and business-related social media posts designed to reach clients, prospective clients and other audiences.
- Provide assistance with message development for talent recruitment campaigns and internal announcements.
- Assist with drafting and formatting client and prospective client proposals for service, various internal and external presentations, and collateral materials.
- Maintain, update and utilize client and prospect contact databases and email lists.
Digital Marketing Coordination
- Collaborate with external consultants on website updates, SEO optimization, content publishing workflow, and video production for and wkcareers.cpa.
- Oversee digital content calendars and work with internal subject matter experts to ensure timely and relevant content delivery.
- Track and report on marketing metrics (email performance, SEO insights, content engagement).
Branding & Materials
- Ensure consistency in use of the WK brand across all communication platforms and collateral materials, including digital formats, printed materials and other items.
- Develop and maintain an inventory of marketing assets including partner/associate bios, fact sheets, service line descriptions, and other collateral materials.
Event & Campaign Support
- Collaborate with colleagues who coordinate special events and participate in industry niche activities, developing ideas for related content, providing communication support, as needed.
- Coordinate and track firm sponsorship of community service events and similar opportunities.
- Provide strategic input for firm-sponsored events and associate recruiting efforts.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- 2-5 years of experience in a similar marketing or communications role, preferably in a professional services environment.
- Excellent analytical, writing, editing, proofreading, and graphic design skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams and external consultants.
Technology & Tools
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Familiarity with email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or similar platform).
- Experience with website content management systems (e.g., WordPress).
- Knowledge of SEO best practices, including demonstrated ability with analyzing data, trend identification and developing recommendations for improvement.
- Experience with CRM databases and social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.).
