SUMMARY AND SCOPE OF THE POSITION: The Sales and Marketing Associate at Tokáhe Distribution plays a key role in supporting the sales and marketing teams to ensure successful execution of sales strategies and marketing initiatives. This position requires close collaboration with the marketing team to assist in content creation, event coordination, and supporting sales operations. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and adaptable team player, ready to contribute to both marketing and sales efforts in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Sales Support:
- Assist the distribution team in coordinating contacts for new accounts.
- Connect new leads for accounts to the purchasing manager. The team member will have packets ready pertaining to distribution to provide when there's interest.
Marketing Support:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to assist in developing and executing marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness and product promotion.
- Maintain prospect databases in the surrounding areas. This would include businesses, local makers, etc.
- Manage collaborations with other local businesses in the area and collect content for social team to promote.
- Content creation and gathering at events, brand pop-ups and assist on-site at dispensary locations to assist the social media team.
- Maintain inventory count of merchandise and printed materials for outreach events/marketing opportunities.
- Travel to every dispensary location to do monthly educational training of new Grasslandz products, dropping off marketing materials and swag to teams.
Event Coordination:
- Plan and participate in pop-up events (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) to promote products, interact with customers, and gather valuable feedback.
- Manage the logistics of trade shows and community events, including scheduling, staffing, and distributing promotional materials.
- Report analytics based on event KPIs set by Marketing Manager.
- Assist customers when signing up for our loyalty program via tablet at events, pop-ups, etc.
Travel Requirements:
- The role involves travel up to 80% to meet with clients, support sales efforts, and attend industry events.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma / GED
- Professional appearance, attitude, and interpersonal/social skills
- Must complete the application and Cannabis Commission licensing process in a timely and professional manner.
- A valid State issued Driver's License
- A Passport quality photo
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must successfully pass a background check
- Must successfully pass a drug test for all substances non-cannabis
- Associate's degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (bachelor's degree preferred).
- 2 years of experience in sales, marketing, or a similar role within the cannabis industry.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with SpringBig, Slack, and Dutchie.
Skills & Attributes:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with team members, clients, and customers.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated and a team player, capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
- Analytical mindset with a strong attention to detail.
