ABOUT THE ROLE The Marketing Operations Manager will be the operational backbone of the marketing team, building, owning, and enforcing a JIRA-based project management framework that drives collaboration, accountability, and efficiency across marketing functions. You will standardize processes, facilitate sprint planning and reviews, and work cross-functionally with Sales, Design, Legal, and Product teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery of marketing projects.

This role requires a confident, detail-oriented leader who can protect process integrity, even under pressure, and keep marketing projects moving smoothly in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Base salary: $100,000 - $130,000 annuallyWHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Build, own, and enforce the marketing team's JIRA-based operating framework, including project intake, sprint planning, ticketing structure, and prioritization logic
  • Standardize cross-functional processes across content, creative, digital, data, and performance teams
  • Facilitate weekly standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, driving accountability and visibility
  • Track team capacity, project timelines, and deliverable status, flagging risks and resourcing gaps early
  • Report on team and project progress and throughput metrics to marketing and executive leadership
  • Collaborate with stakeholders from Sales, Design, Legal, and Product to align expectations and timelines on shared projects
  • Stand your ground on protecting process and execution - even when challenged by urgent asks or senior stakeholders
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing operations or project management, ideally at a high-growth company or agency
  • Proven ability to build project systems from zero - not just use them
  • Expert-level familiarity with JIRA, including workflow configuration, board management, and reporting
  • Confident communicator with executive presence - able to hold the line and advocate for process when needed
  • Deep understanding of how marketing teams operate, including workflows across creative, copy, digital, content, and performance channels
  • Strong grasp of marketing-specific deliverables (landing pages, paid ads, email sequences, SEO content, brand assets) and how to break them down into manageable tasks
  • Skilled in identifying and resolving bottlenecks between departments (e.g., delays in creative feedback, misaligned campaign launch timing) before they impact delivery

  • Proven experience managing creative and technical teams
  • Experience building systems inside a high-growth or chaotic environment
  • Understanding where marketing workflows intersect with tools like HubSpot, attribution software, or analytics dashboards to connect operations across the funnel
