Marketing Manager at Campfire
San Francisco, CA (In-Person) Full-time
Campfire is a next-gen core accounting platform that helps modern mid-market finance teams close fast, and scale faster. We replace outdated legacy ERPs and manual accounting processes with automation-driven solutions that simplify and accelerate finance workflows. With Campfire, finance teams gain clarity, control, and strategic visibility - fast.
We're looking for a Marketing Manager who thrives in fast-paced, zero-to-one environments. This is a content-focused role (LinkedIn, blogs, webinars, email), but it also requires the flexibility to support broader GTM initiatives like SEO, events, partnerships, and paid campaigns based on evolving business needs.
This role reports directly into the Head of Growth. Please note that this role is based in San Francisco, CA and will be working alongside our team 5 days/week in office. Do not apply if you are not able to meet this requirement.
What You'll Do
1. Lead Content Strategy & Execution
- Own Campfire's LinkedIn voice-both for the brand and supporting leadership content (including our founder, John Glasgow).
- Plan, write, and publish compelling blog posts, founder stories, customer use cases, and thought leadership.
- Coordinate and produce webinars, video content, and newsletter campaigns.
- Build systems and calendars to scale content with consistency and speed.
2. Own Full-Funnel GTM Initiatives
- Manage and optimize SEO, paid search/social, and retargeting campaigns.
- Support product launches, sales enablement materials, and partner marketing.
- Plan and execute in-person and virtual events to drive pipeline and awareness.
- Analyze campaign performance and optimize based on what's working.
About You
- 3-5+ years in a B2B SaaS marketing role, ideally at a startup or scale-up.
- Experience marketing to finance and accounting personas (CFO, Head of Finance, Controller)
- Strong writer and storyteller with an eye for voice, clarity, and narrative.
- Strategic thinker who's comfortable rolling up sleeves and executing fast.
- Solid understanding of marketing ops and growth tools (HubSpot, GA4, LinkedIn Ads, etc.).
- Bonus: Familiarity with HubSpot
We also welcome candidates from non-traditional marketing backgrounds-whether you've built an audience on LinkedIn, written deeply on Substack, or grown communities around finance content. If you're hardworking, interested in creating thoughtful content, and have a strong understanding of the finance/accounting persona, we'd love to hear from you.
Why Campfire
- Be an early part of a category-defining company changing how modern finance teams operate.
- Get autonomy, high trust, and the chance to move fast and grow quickly.
- Work with a sharp, kind team that values quality and clarity in everything we do - and has fun doing it.
