The Marketing intern position will support HORNE's marketing department. This position will work in a collaborative environment to execute project deliverables with defined timelines and expectations.
Primary Responsibilities: Prioritize, organize and accomplish tasks assigned
Utilize creative and alternative thinking skills to develop ideas and answers to work-related problems
Demonstrate knowledge of social and digital media platforms as well as tools involved in production and project management
Position Requirements Strong preference given to candidates with marketing and communications experience or currently enrolled in a marketing, communication, or other relevant major at an accredited college/university, with a 3.0+ GPA
Preference given to sophomore or junior students looking for a longer-term internship
Must be available to work in our Ridgeland, MS office during the summer, with remote options available in the fall and as accountability and results are demonstrated.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
Basic knowledge of Canva and Adobe Creative Suite helpful

Must be able to self-direct to meet deadlines
Strong communication and writing skills
Attention to detail, accuracy, strong follow through
Position Responsibilities Assist in execution of defined marketing plans
Assist in social media scheduling and posting
Assist with the preparation for trade shows and marketing events
Assist with special projects and proofing
Assist in tracking of data and providing ongoing reports
Support the team's overall marketing activities (content creation, editorial calendars, email campaigns, social media management, website optimization, developing creative campaigns, digital analytics reports, and more)
