CSS has an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Intern to gain valuable workplace experience with a professional company, while having a direct impact on our business. The intern will contribute to a variety of initiatives aimed at strengthening our brand presence, engaging our target audience, and supporting the achievement of key marketing objectives. Responsibilities function across CSS and our two operating companies, Evolver and eVigilant.
This is a paid position, and the ideal candidate is enrolled in a university, capable of working in a hybrid work environment based in Reston.
Responsibilities Tasks and assignments will vary based on current workload and projects; however, this position will include a variety of marketing and communications activities (supporting visual assets for digital channels, internal and external presentations, content development, case studies, social media copy and visual design).
Duties include: - Updating company LinkedIn and X pages
- Managing schedules for events, award submission, and content
- Conducting market research using web resources and subscription research portals
- Building PowerPoints for internal and external audiences
- Creating content for blog posts and case studies through research skills
- Performing administrative tasks to support the day-to-day operations of the marketing team
Basic Requirements - Must be able to work 10 hours a week in a hybrid work environment based in Reston, VA
- Enrolled in an accredited degree program, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Business or related fields; be in good standing, and have completed at least their freshman year
Preferred Requirements - Strong interest in the marketing of technology services
- Demonstrated active listening skills, consultative, and solutions-oriented mindset
- Attention to detail in writing and proofing professional communications
- Experience with Canva
- Strong experience with MS 365
- Experience with social media, including LinkedIn and X
- Knowledge of WordPress and video production is a plus
