Job Description: Smokin' Jack's BBQ is seeking a
part-time Marketing Intern based in Milwaukee to help support our growing brand through the summer. This is a hands-on, creative role ideal for someone passionate about food, content creation, and digital engagement. The intern will assist in managing our marketing calendar, creating compelling content, and supporting brand visibility across social platforms and events.
Key Responsibilities: - Create and manage a monthly marketing calendar across all restaurant concepts
- Produce and schedule content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and X (Twitter)
- Capture and edit photo and video content at events, onsite, and during prep/service
- Use tools like Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Lightroom, or Canva for visual editing
- Assist with social media campaigns, promotions, and influencer collaborations
- Monitor engagement and suggest strategy improvements
- Maintain consistent branding and messaging
- Be available to attend all major summer events, including evenings and weekends
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree (completed or in-progress) in Marketing, Sales, or a related field
- Knowledge of all major social media platforms
- Access to or ownership of a camera and editing software
- Reliable transportation is required
- Must be available for all scheduled summer events
- Strong communication, time management, and content creation skills
- Passion for food, BBQ, and hospitality is a plus
Compensation: - $15/hour
- Campaign Bonus: % of revenue increase from successful campaigns (defined per project)
- Reel Creation Fee: $25 per approved video
- Engagement Bonus: $10 for every 100 likes per reel
