GENERAL FUNCTION / SUMMARY We are seeking a Marketing Intern with a strong interest in data analysis and Chinese social media platforms. This role will focus on tracking performance metrics for Xiaohongshu and WeChat, conducting market research, and providing actionable insights to enhance engagement. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to contribute to data-driven marketing strategies.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Conduct data analysis for Chinese social media channels (Xiaohongshu, WeChat), tracking key performance metrics.
- Research industry trends and competitor strategies on Chinese social media platforms.
- Provide insights and action plans to improve engagement and marketing effectiveness.
- Assist in developing a data-driven content strategy for Xiaohongshu and WeChat.
- Monitor audience engagement and generate weekly reports on campaign performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align content with business goals.
- Identify potential growth opportunities and propose social media optimizations.
- Take on additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Marketing, Business, Communications, Data Analytics, or a related field
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin) is required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with data analysis tools (Excel, Google Analytics, social media insights tools) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
