Description The American Hospital Association (AHA) is a national organization that represents and serves all types of hospitals, health care networks, and their patients and communities. The AHA has two main offices, located in Washington, D.C. and Chicago. We are currently seeking a Marketing Intern for our Chicago office. This is an onsite, part-time position for the summer, May-Aug 2025, 3 days a week in the office (7.5 hours per day, 22.5 hours per week).

Starting hourly rate is = $27.78- $34.75- $41.67 (commensurate with related experience). The AHA is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The Marketing Intern is responsible for supporting the Professional Membership Group (PMG) Centralized Marketing Team by contributing to marketing campaigns. Obtain hands-on experience with various aspects of marketing, including digital marketing, content creation, social media management, and market research. Assist with implementing marketing plans, analyzing marketing data, and contributing to the creation of marketing materials. This role is a part-time temporary, three-month position.

Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Assist with planning and executing marketing campaigns across digital and traditional platforms/channels.
Conduct market research and review marketing analytics to identify trends and growth opportunities as directed
Assist with creation and execution of various newsletters via Marketo platform.
Provide support in creation of engaging content for our social media channels.
Execute website updates on Enterprise Drupal Content Management System (CMS).
Provide marketing support for all professional membership conferences and events.
Analyze campaign performance as needed using email, web and social media analytics.
Collaborate across the PMG Marketing team.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education Bachelors (required)
Experience Strong Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint skills
Strong copywriting skills
Proficiency in HTML for creating and maintaining web content
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks
Proven ability managing multiple competing projects and demands
Proven ability to meet deadlines
(required)
Previous internships helpful but not required. (preferred)
