Based in Cambridge, Mass., Alkeus was founded in 2010, and since that time has been developing its lead compound, gildeuretinol acetate (ALK-001). Designated as a breakthrough therapy and granted orphan drug status by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, gildeuretinol is being evaluated in multiple clinical trials for the treatment of Stargardt disease and geographic atrophy (GA) secondary to age-related macular degeneration (AMD), a leading cause of blindness in the U.S.

Position Summary:

The Marketing Intern will be responsible for putting together a KOL planning tracker, supporting KOL interactions. They will be responsible for conducting desk research on topics related to Stargardt disease including competition landscape and summarize their findings for the cross functional stakeholders. They will be required to facilitate marketing workstreams meetings to support the execution of Gildeuretinol launch plans.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Desk Research
  • KOL plans execution tracker
  • Meeting planning and facilitating
  • Deliver on other related projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Education and Certification
    • Undergraduate/Graduate degree preferred
  • Work Experience
    • Prior Marketing or Project Management experience preferred

Other Relevant Information:
  • Travel: able to travel up to 25% of time
  • Be available for full-time work (40 hours/week) during internship period
