Job Title: Marketing Consumer Insights Consultant
Location: Hybrid - Onsite 3 days/week (e.g., Irvine, CA)
Job Summary: We are seeking a passionate and strategic
Marketing Consumer Insights Consultant to join our team and play a key role in shaping brand and business decisions through a deep understanding of consumer behavior. This individual will be a thought partner across the organization, driving growth by transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights. Ideal candidates have a strong foundation in both quantitative and qualitative research methods, are fluent in the cultural zeitgeist, and can effectively balance analytical rigor with creative intuition.
Key Responsibilities: - Lead and manage consumer research initiatives that support brand, innovation, and marketing strategy.
- Translate data into compelling insights that influence cross-functional teams and executive decision-making.
- Design and execute a wide range of research methodologies including concept testing, product development research, brand health tracking, and consumer segmentation.
- Stay ahead of consumer and cultural trends, identifying emerging behaviors and attitudes that can inform business opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external research partners to ensure research is timely, relevant, and high-impact.
- Present insights in a visually engaging and story-driven manner that makes data easy to understand and act on.
- Support the evolution of the Consumer Insights function by bringing forward new tools, techniques, and thinking.
- Foster a consumer-centric culture throughout the organization by championing the voice of the customer in every decision.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Experience in consumer insights, market research, or a related role, preferably within a brand, CPG, QSR, or retail environment.
- Proven success in managing and executing both qualitative and quantitative research.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear narratives.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Familiarity with industry-standard research tools and platforms (e.g., Nielsen, Qualtrics, SPSS, Tableau, etc.).
- High comfort with ambiguity and an agile mindset.
- A passion for culture, trends, and consumer behavior.
Work Environment: - Hybrid schedule with 3 days onsite (Tuesday-Thursday), 2 days remote.
