JOB SUMMARY: This position will focus on supporting our brand strategy with expanding football at the youth, high school, and international level. Our Youth Marketing Seasonal will report directly to the Youth Marketing Manager, as well as work cohesively with multiple stakeholders across the Chiefs organization to build and execute meaningful youth football objectives. These objectives may include, but not limited to, exploring program opportunities within domestic and international markets, creating meaningful community connections with high schools and flag football organizations to help support the growth and expansion of their programs, applying for grants and resources from NFL Foundation, & assisting with large scale on-site events and operation. Additional support functions will include creative marketing development and execution for key Chiefs partners within flag football activations. This role often includes interacting internally with multiple departments and assisting in detailed work to bring events and campaigns to life.
RESPONSIBILITIES: - Act as a representative and liaison of the Chiefs when contacting and communicating with high schools, flag football leagues, fans, and community groups
- Assist in the planning and execution of all flag football and high school tackle events
- Coordinate and execute Chiefs Youth Tradition Teams of the Game and Coach of the Week Program
- Lead communication efforts to youth centric marketing networks
- Initiate connections and correspond with educators, youth coaches, and other youth network leaders
- Assist marketing and programs tied to various flag football and high school tackle segments
- Assist in implementing youth outreach plans to increase the overall youth football participation in the Kansas & Missouri
- Assist with research as it relates to domestic and international flag football growth/expansion
- Work in unison with organization's communications, partnership, community, and digital media team
- Perform various other tasks that may be assigned from time to time
HOURS REQUIRED: - 40 hours per week (8:30-5:00, M-F) + events/game days. Starting May 2025 and working to February 2026.
- Must be available to work all home games (August - January).
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS: - General knowledge of the objectives and rules of the game of American football, with the ability to educate on the differences of flag football rules, structure, opportunities, and pathways
- Qualified candidates must possess superior organizational skills and be able to function in a fast-paced, multi-task setting. With excellent attention to detail and an ability to produce high-quality, accurate work within designated deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop solid working relationships at all levels across the organization and externally.
- Individuals must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 50+ pounds as part of regular job duties.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction to complete personal goals and as a team member to accomplish department goals.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
- Possesses a strong work ethic and a winning attitude, consistently demonstrating dedication and excellence in all job responsibilities.
- Must have a working knowledge of the following Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: - Bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited college or university required.
- Previous events and/or youth football programs experience
- Coaching football programs/camps/clinics preferred
