JOB SUMMARY: The Marketing Generalist assists with overall development and implementation of advertising and marketing communication programs in support of strategic organization objectives.
JOB DUTIES: - Assists marketing leadership in the development of strategic marketing and public relations plan to support the organization's mission, goals and objectives.
- Identifies opportunities to support organizational initiatives and develop communication materials and programs to promote these activities.
- Builds and fosters collaborative relationships with other departments of the organization to stay informed and abreast of new initiatives, products or services.
- Assists marketing leadership in coordinating collateral development of digital and traditional media advertising, including conception and production.
- Establishes and manages branded and communication tools and materials.
- Assists with internal and external event management including planning, organizing, implementing, and publicity.
- Assists with day-to-day operations of specific year-round marketing or public programs, as assigned.
- Assists with public relations materials including, but not limited to, photography, news releases, website, and social media content.
- Assists with marketing and communication department initiatives at Fairview Range, as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or a business field preferred.
- Experience Required: 1+ years of Public Relations, Marketing and Communication experience.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to understand, interpret, and write about complex health-related information.
- Experience managing special events.
- Ability to complete multiple tasks and high volume of work on deadline.
- Ability to follow through on assigned tasks with limited supervision.
- Attention to detail and ability to edit and proofread.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Must have valid driver's license.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint and Outlook required.
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suites including Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator required.
- Photography experience preferred.
- Knowledge of web marketing and web communication.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and the ability to work closely with varied audiences, including community representatives, patients, other staff, providers and senior management.
- Openness to continued learning and upgrading of skills.
- Demonstrated ability to follow and adhere to Grand Itasca policies, vision, mission and values.
- Maintains reliable and consistent attendance.
