Role Summary:

Sunny Communications is seeking a hands-on, full-stack Director of Marketing to build and lead a high-impact marketing function that drives profitable growth across our channels. This cross-functional role will work closely with Sales, Procurement, eCommerce, Repair, Rental, and Finance to unify customer data, optimize marketing activities, and build sustainable and scalable strategies.

We're looking for a resourceful leader who brings both creativity and consistency to our marketing. This person will develop Sunny's brand identity and go-to-market strategy while testing new ways to profitably grow awareness, relevance, and reach. This is an entrepreneurial role ideal for someone who thrives on ownership, collaboration, and impact.


Key Responsibilities:

CRM Strategy & Execution

Consolidate fragmented customer data from across the business into a centralized CRM

Lead direct outreach to top 500 dealers to assess interest across buy/sell/rent/repair services

Build robust dealer profiles with contact details, history, and service interests for campaigns

Retention & Engagement Campaigns

Manage segmented email/SMS campaigns to drive dealer and customer engagement

Establish customer contacts that improve repeat business and retention across product lines

Test and optimize messaging, timing, and channel mix to increase campaign effectiveness

Digital Marketing & eCommerce Growth

Launch and scale sustainable, profitable paid acquisition efforts (e.g., Google, Meta, TikTok)

Define SEO strategy and oversee creation of optimized landing pages and product content

Manage new site performance with focus on improving registration, traffic, and conversion

Brand & Communications

Develop a brand architecture and standards with consistent voice, tone, and visual identity

Lead the creation of assets and campaigns that reflect Sunny's value and personality

Test bold ideas across digital, events, and content to grow brand awareness and build loyalty

Trade Show & Sales Support

Partner with Sales to create marketing strategies that drive dealer and end user engagement

Audit our current trade show presence and identify opportunities to improve tactics

Optimize lead capture, follow-up, and CRM tracking of trade show attendees to improve sales

Analytics & Attribution

Build performance dashboards to track traffic, conversion rates, CAC, LTV, and campaign ROI

Partner with Finance to tie marketing efforts to sales outcomes and P&L impact

Run tests across campaigns and landing pages to improve marketing performance


Required Qualifications:

7+ years of marketing experience, incl. leadership in a growth-stage or entrepreneurial business

Experience owning performance and driving revenue

Demonstrated success in building or scaling CRM systems, integrating teams and data sources

Proven experience designing and executing successful retention and lifecycle campaigns

Strong grasp of marketing analytics, attribution, and ROI-based campaign management

Experience with marketing tools like Google Ads, Meta Ads, email platforms, and CRM systems

Ability to lead through influence in a cross-functional role

Strategic thinker with a bias for action, curiosity, deep creativity, and drive to solve problems

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field PREFERRED
