Marketing Development Representative (MDR)

Reports To: Director of Product Marketing
Location: Hybrid - Houston, Texas
Position Summary:
SmartVault is looking for a driven Marketing Development Representative (MDR) to join our high-performing team. In this role, you'll be responsible for proactive outbound prospecting, scheduling qualified sales meetings, and contributing significantly to pipeline growth. You'll leverage advanced sales tools like Salesforce, Outreach, and ZoomInfo to achieve and exceed your performance targets. Ideal candidates will have prior experience with these or similar CRM, sales engagement, and data provider platforms.
If you don't have direct experience with our specific sales tools, familiarity with the accounting or financial services industry-especially experience using QuickBooks or other payroll, accounting, or tax software-is highly valuable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute strategic outbound prospecting via calls, emails, and social platforms (LinkedIn).
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly performance quotas, including daily calls, opportunities created, Sales Qualified Opportunities (SQOs), and ACV generated.
- Utilize Salesforce for lead management, ensuring accurate data tracking and timely lead progression.
- Execute and optimize Outreach sequences for high lead engagement and pipeline growth.
- Collaborate closely with the Marketing Operations Manager and Lead MDR to refine messaging, enhance targeting strategies, and maximize outreach effectiveness.
- Regularly analyze and report on outreach metrics, providing insights to improve strategies and conversion rates.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum 1-2 years experience in a sales role such as MDR, SDR, BDR, Account Manager, Account Executive, or equivalent.
- Experience with Salesforce, Outreach, ZoomInfo, or similar sales and CRM tools strongly preferred.
- Prior experience in the accounting, financial services, or software/SaaS industries is highly desirable.

- Exceptional communication skills-phone, email, and social selling (LinkedIn).
- Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve or exceed performance goals.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to use data to improve sales approaches.
