Job Description

The Marketing Coordinator at the Cleveland County Family YMCA will be responsible for supporting the planning, development, and execution of marketing initiatives that promote the YMCA's mission, programs, services, and events. This role requires a blend of creativity, communication, and project management skills to ensure consistent branding and engagement across multiple channels, including social media, email, website, and print.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field.

- 2+ years of experience in marketing, preferably in a nonprofit or community-focused organization.

- Strong understanding of social media platforms, content creation, and digital marketing best practices.

- Experience with Google Analytics, social media management tools (Hootsuite, Buffer, etc.), and website CMS (WordPress, etc.).

- Proficiency in design software (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) and email marketing platforms.

- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

- Passion for community service and a commitment to the mission of the YMCA.

- Knowledge of YMCA programs and services is a plus.

Essential Functions

1. Content Creation & Management - Develop engaging content for digital platforms (social media, website, email marketing) and print materials (flyers, brochures, posters) that effectively communicate the YMCA's offerings and mission. Maintain a content calendar to ensure timely and relevant messaging across all platforms. Create, edit, and proofread marketing collateral to ensure high quality and alignment with the YMCA brand.

2. Social Media Management: Plan, implement, and monitor social media strategies across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) to increase awareness, engagement, and participation in YMCA programs and events. Respond to inquiries and engage with the online community in a timely and professional manner.

3. Email Marketing: Manage and execute email campaigns to targeted segments, ensuring content is relevant, engaging, and aligned with ongoing marketing objectives. Monitor email performance metrics and suggest optimizations for future campaigns.

4. Website Maintenance: Regularly update the YMCA website to reflect current programs, events, and news. Ensure website content is consistent with marketing strategies and user-friendly.

5. Event Support: Assist in promoting YMCA events through various marketing channels. Coordinate with event organizers to ensure all marketing needs are met, including signage, promotions, and post-event recaps.

6. Brand Management: Develop key membership and program marketing materials. Ensure that all marketing materials and communications reflect the YMCA's branding guidelines and tone. Support consistency across all channels by providing clear brand messaging.

7. Data Analysis: Track and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, including website traffic, social media engagement, email performance, and other key metrics. Use analytics to adjust and improve ongoing marketing efforts.
