Company Description

Our client is a fast-growing climate tech startup focused carbon capture. They've developed a next-generation, patent-pending carbon capture solution that significantly reduces both equipment size and energy consumption compared to legacy technologies.


Role Description

This is a full-time Marketing & Communications Coordinator position, based at the company's U.S. headquarters with hybrid work options available. The role is hands-on, focused on content development, external communications, media relations, and customer-facing collateral. You'll work cross-functionally and have exposure to leadership, PR consultants, and global industry events. Some travel-both domestic and international-is anticipated.


Key Responsibilities


Communications & PR:

  • Own the company's external communications and social media (primarily LinkedIn)

  • Develop and manage content calendar, brand voice, and engagement strategy

  • Coordinate PR efforts, including media outreach and press release development

  • Identify and manage speaking opportunities, awards, and trade show participation

  • Liaise with external consultants and media contacts


Marketing Collateral:

  • Create and maintain all sales and marketing assets (decks, brochures, one-pagers)

  • Lead redesign and management of the company website

  • Support business development teams with follow-up materials and presentations


Event & Conference Coordination:

  • Research relevant industry events and suggest participation

  • Support logistics and material prep for conferences and trade shows

  • Attend key events and manage post-event communications and deliverables

Qualifications


Experience:

  • 2-5 years in marketing, communications, or public relations

  • Experience in climate tech, clean energy, or maritime is a plus (but not required)

  • Background in early-stage startups a bonus

  • Experience writing press releases and managing external PR campaigns

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, PR, or similar preferred


Skills:

  • Graphic design fluency (PowerPoint + Canva or Adobe Suite; CAD exposure a plus)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Familiarity with CMS tools and website editing

  • Social media management (LinkedIn focus)

  • Strong organizational and multitasking ability

  • Confident coordinating and executing on events, both in-person and virtual
