Role Overview
BGB Group is seeking a Marketing Automation Lead to oversee and optimize marketing automation strategies across omnichannel campaigns, digital platforms, and CRM integrations. This role will drive the strategic implementation of marketing automation tools to enhance engagement, personalization, and efficiency in pharmaceutical and healthcare marketing initiatives.
The Marketing Automation Lead will collaborate with cross-functional teams-including strategy, technology, content, and analytics-to develop automation frameworks that streamline workflows, improve audience segmentation, and ensure seamless customer journeys. This position requires deep expertise in marketing automation platforms (e.g., Marketo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot), a data-driven mindset, and a strong understanding of compliance considerations within the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Automation Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement marketing automation strategies to support omnichannel engagement, lead nurturing, and customer retention.
- Design, build, and optimize automated workflows, email campaigns, and multi-touch nurture programs.
- Ensure automation efforts align with business objectives, audience segmentation strategies, and personalization best practices.
Platform Management & Optimization
- Oversee the configuration, integration, and maintenance of marketing automation platforms (e.g., Marketo, Pardot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot).
- Manage database segmentation, list hygiene, and audience targeting to enhance campaign effectiveness.
- Optimize automation workflows by leveraging AI-driven insights, predictive analytics, and A/B testing.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with content strategists, creative teams, and digital specialists to develop dynamic, data-driven content for automated campaigns.
- Work closely with the data analytics team to track performance metrics, generate insights, and refine automation strategies.
- Collaborate with CRM teams to ensure seamless lead handoff, sales alignment, and closed-loop reporting.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure all automated marketing activities adhere to industry regulations, including HIPAA, GDPR, and pharmaceutical compliance requirements.
- Implement quality control processes to validate data integrity, email deliverability, and campaign execution.
- Conduct regular audits to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Stay ahead of emerging marketing automation trends, tools, and best practices to drive innovation.
- Explore opportunities for AI-driven automation, chatbots, and hyper-personalization in omnichannel marketing.
- Develop automation playbooks, training materials, and internal documentation to upskill teams and promote best practices.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in marketing automation, CRM integration, or digital marketing technology.
- Experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or regulated industries is preferred.
- Proven track record of designing and executing marketing automation strategies at scale.
Technical & Functional Skills
- Expertise in marketing automation platforms such as Marketo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Pardot, HubSpot, or Eloqua.
- Strong understanding of email marketing, lead scoring, segmentation, and campaign analytics.
- Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Veeva CRM) and data management best practices.
- Familiarity with API integrations, marketing data flows, and omnichannel engagement strategies.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, or scripting languages for email and landing page customization is a plus.
Soft Skills & Leadership
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a data-driven mindset.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and drive process improvements.
- Leadership experience with the ability to mentor and train teams on marketing automation best practices.
Salary Range: $90,000- $120,000
The salary range provided is for the Kansas City, MO hybrid position, which requires occasional in-office presence, and represents what a potential hire may expect to earn in this role at BGB. For candidates in other locations, salary will be adjusted to reflect local market rates. Actual salary decisions will be influenced by several factors that we use to determine overall fit, including experience (both direct and indirect), education, training, demonstrated qualifications, and organizational need. Salary is only one component of the total rewards package offered at BGB Group.
