Description

The Marketing Associate will work in close collaboration with the Marketing Manager to implement successful, ongoing campaigns, and grow and monetize our marketing presence across digital and traditional platforms for our Fire/EMS brands. They will help incorporate initiatives for brand positioning, email strategy, social media strategy, and website strategy.

This is a full-time position, onsite or hybrid, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Campaign Initiatives
    • Implement and report on social, email, and web campaigns based on the current initiatives and strategy
    • Work as part of a team to develop large Fire/EMS campaigns for print and digital assets
    • Compose and ensure timely execution of all components scheduled on the Global Campaign Calendar- including social media, homepage banners, giveaways, SMS, surveys, emails, print materials, tradeshows, vendor agreements, and articles.
    • Ensure promotions are set up accurately
    • Maintain Deals Page on the website to include upcoming and active promotions using HTML along with other webpages as needed
    • Assist with Print ads - including helping plan the ads, tasking ads to creative, collecting information from outside sales associates, receiving media kits, and seeing that ads are submitted on time.
    • Handle Fire/EMS outside sale associate requests, including the Witmer Marketing Development Fund program, flyers, and other materials.
    • Manage the brand ambassador program to further expose the WPSG Fire/EMS brands.
    • Communicate with vendors about campaign initiatives, including campaign approval, execution, and results.
    • Propose new ideas and concepts for campaign initiatives.
  • Analyze
    • Use Google Analytics and other reporting tools to gather, analyze, and report campaign metrics for all marketing initiatives- including social media, email, website banners, and campaigns.
    • Measure success and effectiveness of marketing campaigns and identify areas for improvement.
    • Keep organized records of marketing metrics and results of past campaigns.
  • Monetize -
    • Look for opportunities to advance marketing strategies to increase performance of campaigns.
    • Continuously improve marketing processes to increase ROI of campaigns.
  • Monitor -
    • Review external sites for comments about the WPSG brands (i.e.- social media, blogs, reviews, etc).
    • Monitor competitors' marketing activities.
  • Discover -
    • Conduct market research to identify new opportunities.
    • Stay up to date on emerging trends and best practices in marketing.
    • Recommend new marketing channels or new ways to use existing channels.
  • Complies with all Witmer Public Safety Group Policies and Procedures.
  • Performs any other duties or projects assigned by the management team.
Requirements

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field
  • Two years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics/GA4 or other quantitative analytics packages; willing to become certified in GA4
  • Ability to create spreadsheets, manipulate data, implement basic formulas, sort and format.
  • Experience with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and Pinterest and the ability to analyze social media metrics
  • Experience with Hootsuite preferred but not required.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/Outlook/Teams/PowerPoint).
  • Excellent writing, interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Must be enthusiastic, attentive to details, creative thinker, self-motivated, proactive, and always maintain a professional demeanor
  • Must have excellent time management and multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet critical deadlines.
  • Ability to change priorities quickly as needed; ability to independently handle stress and maintain a mature problem-solving demeanor.
  • Ability and desire to efficiently work in a team environment as well as the ability to work independently and proceed with objectives without constant supervision.
