Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm Schedules may change based on business needs. May include holidays and alternate workdays or hours as needed.

About the job: The Marketing Assistant will analyze data to identify new business opportunities and create engaging marketing materials like brochures and newsletters. They will also manage social media accounts, keeping followers engaged with fresh content. Additionally, assisting with maintaining databases, planning events, handling travel arrangements, and assisting management with various administrative tasks.
The Marketing Assistant must have a good understanding of basic business and marketing concepts and be comfortable with using social media, search engines and email marketing. They must have excellent communication, editing, and organizational skills. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a collaborative work environment (but still works well independently).
What you'll be doing: - Analyze trends and data to identify business opportunities
- Write, design, and edit content for marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, newsletters, advertisement, and graphic designs.
- Monitor and manage social media accounts, including posting content and engaging with followers.
- Assist with maintaining and developing databases and mailing lists.
- Plan events & coordinate activities for guests in-house and arrange travel details as needed.
- SEO monitoring
- Assist the General Manager and Assistant General manager with administrative tasks
- Collaborate with other departments as needed
Supervisory Responsibilities: - This position does not supervise any employees.
- May also provide cross-training for staff.
Travel: - This position could require minimal travel, less than 5% of the time. (Adjust as needed)
About you:What you'll bring:- Associate or bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Hospitality experience preferred but not required
What we are looking for:- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point)
- OPERA knowledge preferred but not required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of the team
- High level of organization and attention to detail,
- Understanding of basic business and marketing concepts
- Excellent time management skills.
- Familiarity with social media, social networking, email marketing and search engines.
- Strong writing and editing skills.
- Customer service oriented with a friendly and professional demeanor.
Work Environment: Usual office working conditions. This position will have desk space with a computer and a phone. The noise level in the work environment is typical of most office environments with telephones, personal interruptions, and background noises.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and listen. The employee is frequently required to use their hands. The employee must have the ability to use a computer keyboard and mouse and the ability to dial, answer, and talk on a telephone. The employee is occasionally required to walk and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. This job requires the ability to occasionally work in stressful conditions and remain focused for extended periods of time. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds; boxes, documents and/or other items.
