Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role in New York, NY for a Marketing And Public Relations Coordinator at Bibhu Mohapatra. Entry level position. The Coordinator will be responsible for handling press releases, media relations, communication, public relations, and strategic communications on a day-to-day basis.

-Work closely with the CEO and creative director

-Must be a team player with leadership qualities

-Maintain day-to-day communication with editors, stylists, vvips, friends of the house, and

clients. Update their email contacts daily and update our contact database at all times.

-Constantly update company master lists of editors, buyers, private clients, walk-ins, FOH, and

stylists for fashion shows, events, campaigns, and collaborations.

-Create and update brand decks.

-Work with web designer to manage Shopify site - manage asset delivery, copywriting, visual

order, styling, web SEO, and testing. Troubleshoot website issues, review and revise with web

team to ensure timely upload

-Manage all in store walk-ins and communication with private clients. Show the collections in-store or via email, share pricing, invoicing, collect deposits, and ensure required fittings are all clearly

communicated.

-Store upkeep with team - ensure cleanliness, merchandising, visual presentation, and brand

reflection.

-Manage organization of all supplies and storage unit. Weekly inventory for store floor,

production rack, and storage unit.

-Manage NYFW SPONSOR outreach each season for HMU, nails, liquor, fine jewelry, hospitality,

etc. Research and pitch to sponsors, send intro emails, draft proposals, schedule calls, and negotiate

deliverables. This should be done at least 2-3 months prior to the show month.

-Create and manage show budget

-Ensure all materials (Run of Show, other materials for gift bags, face sheets, BTS photographer

lists, etc.) are prepped.

-Assist the CEO on special and ongoing projects: daily communications, timelines, and deliverables.

-Organize company calendar - coordinate all fittings, stylist pulls, NYFW planning, meetings, and

client appointments.

-Hire, train, and manage rotating unpaid interns every 4-5 months.

-Organize tasks for interns to complete daily and also have a weekly plan.

-Maintain updated contact and calendar systems.

-Ensure show-day support roles are filled and properly briefed (interns/staff).


Qualifications

  • Media Relations skills
  • Communication and Public Relations skills
  • Strong interpersonal and networking abilities
  • Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or related field
  • Previous experience in the fashion industry is a plus
