Position Summary
The Marketing and Communications Support Specialist creates and manages multimedia content across various
platforms to engage audiences and tell compelling organizational stories while supporting the Communications and
Marketing Department's strategic initiatives.

Essential Job Duties

• Create and edit photos and videos using professional creative software tools.

• Manage and create content for organizational social media platforms.

• Organize and maintain digital photo galleries and media assets.

• Ensure comprehensive coverage of campus events throughout the year.

• Schedule and mentor student workers for event photography and videography.

• Collaborate with department stakeholders to align multimedia content with organizational goals.

• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or designee.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mass communication, Media Production, or related field with 2-4 years of experience

• Master's degree preferred

• Experience supervising student workers preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong understanding of artistic composition and visual storytelling principles

• Proficient in digital asset management and file organization systems

• Demonstrated ability to create engaging multimedia content across various platforms

• Strong project management skills with ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously

• Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to mentor and guide student workers

• Advanced knowledge of professional creative software and digital media tools

• Must have a strong work ethic and lead by example

• Must be a professional, credible and respected representative of the institution internally and in the community

• Demonstrated willingness and ability to act ethically and socially responsible

• Ability to communicate in a courteous manner

Supervisory Responsibility
This position provides direct supervision to individual contributors and offers continuous performance feedback. The
role may also involve active participation in departmental activities to meet schedules and resolve issues as needed.
