Our client, a large non-profit organization, is seeking a Director of Marketing and Communications to lead its strategic vision for internal and external communications. This role is part of the Executive Leadership Team and collaborates closely with the Development team to drive fundraising campaigns, brand awareness, and storytelling efforts. The Director will manage a team, oversee vendor relationships, and ensure impactful messaging across all platforms.
Essential Duties:
- Develop Strategic Plans: Work with leadership to create and implement integrated marketing and communications strategies that align with organizational goals.
- Brand Management: Ensure consistent and compelling messaging across all materials and platforms.
- Content Creation: Oversee the production and distribution of publications, videos, social media campaigns, and website content.
- Fundraising Support: Partner with the Development team to plan and execute donor communications and fundraising campaigns.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor the communications team while managing external agencies and consultants.
- Media Relations: Act as the primary media contact, build relationships with outlets, and oversee press releases and public statements.
- Internal Communications: Collaborate with leadership to deliver timely and engaging staff communications.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Support storytelling efforts, public speaking engagements, and CRM integration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in communications or marketing, including 3+ years in management.
- Expertise in brand strategy, media relations, and digital marketing.
- Proficiency in Salesforce, Adobe Creative Suite, and social media platforms.
- Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills.
- Nonprofit experience preferred.
Salary range: $140k - $150k
