About the position. The Market Director of Sales key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Sales Strategy Development: Create and implement effective sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets and market penetration goals.
  • Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and motivate a team of sales representatives, providing training and support to enhance their performance and professional development.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape, adjusting strategies accordingly.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, preparing reports and presentations for senior management.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product development, and customer service teams to align efforts and drive sales initiatives.
  • Budget Management: Oversee sales budgets and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and return on investment.

What you need. To effectively thrive in this organization, the Market Director of Sales will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales, with a proven track record of success in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of sales principles and practices, as well as market dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and derive actionable insights.
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
