Job Description
We're seeking an Innovation Market Analyst to join our Front End Innovation team in Global R&D based in North America (Mentor, OH) in full time capacity. This position is hybrid, with remote work and some in-person meetings.

In this role, you will assist global teams in validating their early-stage ideas (including market opportunity analysis, the formulation of a value proposition / hypothesis, and customer discovery / voice of customer to identify insights) in the following materials-related areas: Labels, Packaging, Graphics, Performance or Multi-Functional Materials, Digital Identification Solutions, that can be found in Energy Storage, Connected CPG, Sustainable Packaging or High Performance Products.

What you will be doing

The primary roles and responsibilities of this position will be:

Conduct primary and secondary market research, with a focus on delivering useful insights, map out value chains, and ultimately develop business cases and assess and validate the commercial potential of novel technologies.

Collaborate with and support various teams in evaluating the potential of their market-driven innovation ideas by helping gather information (internal/external) and conduct assessments that inform all aspects of commercial potential and viability

Scout for and build partnerships with external collaborators to help expand our business into adjacent markets.

Validate the existence of problems to be solved, and AD's ability to compete in this market ("Right to Win")

Execute value chain, ecosystem, context, and trend analysis, translating insights into quantitative forecasts and actionable recommendations to ensure future of the technology based business success.

Participate in the development of strategic and technology roadmaps

Connect with internal marketing and technical teams to have a broader understanding of AD's inherent and nascent technologies

What you will need to bring to the program

Minimum Requirements

Minimum bachelor's degree, preferably in engineering, business, or related field. MBA or Masters in Engineering Management preferred
5 years of experience in market analysis within the manufacturing industry

Experience working with R&D groups on market driven innovation strongly preferred

Well developed interpersonal communication and presentation skills

Ability to connect with external stakeholders remotely to gather critical information

Experience working in a matrix organization, cross functionally with marketing, R&D, technical services, Ops, etc.

Broad viewpoint of business and technology evolution

Passion and curiosity for technology development

Demonstrated interest in startup or big corporation innovation (business, technology analysis, or similar)
