Position Title Strategic Accounts Sales Support Analyst

Specific Position Requirements

Job description:
  • The Strategic Accounts Group is a sales and marketing department in John Deere's Construction & Forestry Division.
  • The group is responsible for sales of construction equipment to large fleet owners in the US and Canada.
  • A Moline-based team of sales support personnel coordinates the transactions with these important customers.
  • They work closely with strategic account managers who function as outside sales representatives, together growing business with these large strategic contractors, rental companies and governmental purchasers.
  • The open analyst role includes the following primary responsibilities:
  • Manage daily discount auditing and approval process for the Strategic Accounts Group. Review discount requests from John Deere dealers.
  • Grant final approvals after researching input from strategic account managers.
  • Publish monthly sales and discount report for the Strategic Accounts Group. Compile, analyze and disseminate historical and current data to provide management with trends and analysis.
  • Assist and execute complex queries and analysis, targeting specific programs. Design, build and deliver statistical reports based on the analysis results
  • Coordinate strategic customer engagement events and other marketing projects targeted to the department's customers.
  • Lead and execute the department's promotional item strategy. Monitor and manage budget for both.
  • Provide a customer experience that makes customers want to do business with John Deere and its local dealers.
  • Serve as sales coordinator on assigned direct rental account teams.
  • Coordinate open orders, logistics and invoicing. Ensure the correct configurations of products are shipped quickly and accurately.
Education: College degree preferred; exceptions suitable depending on relevant work experience.
