If you are a Navy Certified Marine Gas Turbine Inspector looking to continue your career supporting the world's greatest Navy, Amentum has a full-time position available supporting the Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) Code 260 at Naval Station Norfolk, VA. Essential Responsibilities: Provide technical assistance, assessment support, inspections, and troubleshooting expertise Observe/conduct cold/hot checks of equipment, noting condition and parameters for any out-of-specification readings or settings Conduct oversight of repairs being conducted to engines and equipment for technical completion Observe operation of the equipment by the ship's force to witness the full range of performance Use the appropriate measuring and test equipment in the performance of assessments and repairs Oversee ship's force accomplishment of adjustments and repairs Complete all required reports and technical documentation Provide training to the ship's force during assessments and technical assist visits Attend meetings and conferences as required Minimum Requirements Eight (8) years of experience in operation, repair, maintenance, and assessment of marine gas turbines, control, and support systems. Four (4) years specialized hands-on experience in mechanical/electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, assessment, and repair of marine gas turbines, control, and support systems. Four (4) years' experience as a certified MGTI and possess a current MGTI certification in accordance with OPNAVINST 9220.3 (series). Have conducted a minimum of four (4) Gas Turbine Readiness Reviews (GTRR) in the past twelve (12) months. Have conducted a minimum of four (4) engine change-outs, four (4) LM2500 compressor blade changes, and four (4) Power Turbine Inspections (GTB 12/24). Possess the ability to run the Blade Balance Program, CEC2700 Precision Signal Source, and Rolls-Royce Utilities for analysis of data from the Full Authority Digital Control (FADC) for the Gas Turbine Generator (GTG). Must have working knowledge of LM2500 Digital Fuel Control (DFC) System IAW GTC 100. Must have an active secret US government clearance.
