An Electric Engine Manufacturing Technician job is available with our client in San Jose, CA. In this role you will be in a hands-on role assembling our 4 variants of engines for our EVTOL aircraft. The production line is mostly manual processes, so following work instructions with close attention to detail will be the most important aspect of this role. To be considered for this role, you will have a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent and typically 5 or more years of relevant experience.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work closely with the engineering teams to support equipment bring-up and process validation.

Use manual, semi-automated, and automated equipment to build electric engines which includes inverters, gearboxes, and motors.

Troubleshoot equipment and processes.

Debug electric engines.

Perform routine maintenance on equipment.

Perform inspections and measurements of product dimensions using basic metrology tools, (calipers, micrometer, depth gauges, measurement microscope, etc ).


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent and 5+ years in the manufacturing industry.

Direct hands-on build experience with mechanical and electronic assemblies using technical documentation.

High workmanship standards and high attention to detail.

ESD or Cleanroom experience.

Experience soldering to IPC or similar standards.

Ability to follow formal build instructions and document deviations.

Excellent documentation and written communication; proficient using Microsoft Office.

Familiarity with 5S or similar workplace organization methods.

Experience following all aspects of maintenance safety protocol (LOTO, 5S, Arc Flash, etc.).


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

IPC Certification or knowledge.

Experience working with an R&D environment.
