A top employer in the E-Vehicle industry is seeking a motivated Engineering Technician to support our onsite Cell Engineering team in the development and production of cutting-edge battery cells.
As an Engineering Technician, you will play a crucial role in our Cell Engineering team, focusing on both small and large-scale tool/machine operations. Your responsibilities will include operating these proprietary tools/machines, such as calendaring equipment and assisting in the process of turning powder into electrodes (film). You will work closely with a dedicated team of three to manage powder input and facilitate equipment setup while also operating large-scale tools for electrode production. A key aspect of your role will involve overseeing the mixing tool operations to ensure efficient production processes.
Your day-to-day activities will encompass performing routine tool set up, powder feeding, machine cleaning, mixing, and more. You will work collaboratively with the Lead Technician to ensure that all machinery is functioning optimally, actively engaging in diagnosing equipment issues and providing support for those performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting. In addition, you will collaborate with Facilities to address any equipment-related concerns, ensuring a safe and efficient dry room environment while adhering to strict safety protocols. Supporting equipment upgrades and improvements will also be an essential part of your routine, helping to drive continuous improvement in production processes.
SHIFT
- Monday - Friday: 10am - 6pm PT
- Must be flexible to work some over time
MUST HAVE:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment, particularly with mechanical equipment and machine operation
- Computer savviness and experience using Excel to update documents
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail; ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
