Pay rate: $25.00-$29.00 hr- depending on experience
Job Title: Electro-Mechanical Assembler/Technician
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electro-Mechanical Assembler/Technician with expertise in mechanical, electrical, and wire/harness assembly. This position involves the assembly of laser systems and associated tooling. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision and is eager to contribute to innovative projects.
Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical, opto-mechanical, and electrical assembly work with minimal supervision.
- Assist the Engineering team in assembling systems for prototypes or one-of-a-kind builds.
- Assemble complete systems from the ground up, including frames, enclosures, electrical cabinets, opto-mechanics, and robotics.
- Handle system preparation, crating, and shipping/receiving of products.
- Occasionally assist with material management and logistics.
- Generate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) as needed.
- Maintain detailed records related to assembly and processes.
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to problem-solve and improvise when necessary.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a mechanical assembly role, preferably in a technical or engineering-focused environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (both mechanical and electrical).
- Experience with electrical wiring, harness assembly, and opto-mechanical systems is highly preferred.
- A self-motivated individual who can work independently with limited supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
