POSITION SUMMARY: The Manufacturing Technician III supports manufacturing operations through maintaining, problem solving and repairing machines and maintaining spare parts inventories.
All positions are responsible for following applicable company policies and procedures as defined by their manager
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Troubleshoot manufacturing machines and equipment to determine root causes and perform repairs independently.
- Document machine repairs as required by the Quality Management System.
- Perform complex machine set up and programming.
- Specify and perform preventive maintenance on electronic and mechanical equipment.
- Perform in-house calibration of equipment.
- Specify, source, and maintain spare parts inventories, materials, and tools necessary to support manufacturing equipment.
- Perform complex technical tasks assisting engineers with electronic and mechanical systems.
- Work consists of technical tasks that are typically not routine.
- Adhere to Quality Management System requirements.
- Ensure equipment safety features are operational and equipment is safe to operate.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education: - Two-year vocational school in Automation and Robotics, Mechatronics, Electronics or similar field of study or equivalent experience.
Experience: - Minimum four (4) years of experience.
Skills: - Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Broad knowledge of manufacturing systems typically obtained through extensive experience or education.
- Communication: Gives and receives moderately complex technical information.
- Able to work with limited supervision, providing assistance and training to lower-level employees.
Physical Requirements:While performing the duties of this job, employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Employee is frequently required to talk or hear. Employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and or operations of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.
