Manufacturing Production Associate

FULL-TIME

$16/hr

Positions for 2nd or 3rd shifts start at $16/hr with a shift differential of $1/hr.
Team members are eligible for a pay raise after 6 months, and raises are based on merit and performance.

Operate one or several of the following machinery and equipment:
- Duplex Extruder
- 3 roll calendar
- 4 roll calendar
- Slitter
- Cutter for rubberized cord
- Bead wire extruder (hexa and penta wires)
- Bead building machine

Duties could include:
- Setting up the machines with cord, wire, rubber compounds
- Manually placing final product into storage equipment
- Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments
- Set up and operate the Duplex extruding machine, 3-drum rubberizing machine, 4-drum rubberizing machine
- Operate the slitter for cutting rubberized material and placing the cut material into storage equipment
- Clean, inspect, or lubricate equipment or perform routine maintenance or minor repairs on equipment.
- Clean work areas.
- Load machine hoppers with necessary materials
- Maintain an inventory of materials.
- Weigh and mix materials as required.
- Wind wires to the bead wire extruder
- Change bead wire wheels on bead wire extruder machine according to production line changes.
- Load machine hoppers with cord, using cranes, or load calendars with rubber compound
- Measure and examine extruded products in order to locate defects, and to check for conformance to specifications; adjust controls as necessary to alter products.
- Operate shearing mechanisms to cut rubberized cord to specified lengths and angle.
- Start machines and set controls to regulate air pressure, speed, and temperature, and to synchronize speed of extrusion.

Schedule

Shift start: 2:30PM
Shift length: 8 - 10 hours
Monday through Friday - Some Saturdays (2 per month)

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18+ years old
