Manufacturing Process Automation Engineer Overview

We are seeking a Manufacturing Process Automation Engineer to drive the improvement and automation of permanent manufacturing processes. You will lead the development of automated systems, ensuring safety, optimizing productivity, and troubleshooting systems before delivery to production lines.

Manufacturing Process Automation Engineer Responsibilities
  • System Design & Configuration: Create and approve internal designs, collaborate on creating manufacturing procedures, and update internal routings and BOMs for efficient job execution.
  • Prototype Development: Lead projects to design and test electrical, mechanical, and automated systems; build prototypes and ensure they meet requirements.
  • Production Support: Work with maintenance to ensure system efficiency, and provide technical support and training to production teams.
  • New Technology: Evaluate and recommend new equipment/technologies to improve safety and productivity; support installation and debugging.
  • Process Improvement & Automation: Identify and implement automation opportunities, improve processes for cost, throughput, and product quality, and manage system fabrication and qualification.
Manufacturing Process Automation Engineer Requirements
  • Strong experience and background in electrical, mechanical, and automated systems design.
  • Proficient in SolidWorks, LabView, or other design programs.
  • Experience in process improvement and automation within manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage projects from conception to delivery.
