My client is seeking a motivated and experienced Production Supervisor to lead our Second Shift operations. This role will provide leadership, guidance, and strategic direction to ensure the achievement of high standards across safety, quality, and production goals. The ideal candidate will oversee various manufacturing departments, driving continuous improvement and fostering a collaborative, results-driven environment.

Description

Responsibilities:

  • Lead operational improvements to align with business objectives, focusing on safety, quality, on-time delivery, inventory management, and productivity.
  • Provide clear leadership and direction to employees, fostering a positive and efficient work environment.
  • Develop employee skills across multiple areas such as continuous improvement, lean practices, safety, and process adherence.
  • Actively promote safety protocols, identifying potential risks and taking corrective actions to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Contribute to resource planning, including labor, space, materials, and equipment, and support cost analysis and justification when necessary.
  • Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies to drive significant value and operational efficiency.
  • Engage and lead the Electro-Mechanical Assembly team, fostering professional growth and team cohesion.
  • Uphold high ethical standards, ensuring adherence to company policies and promoting a culture of integrity throughout the team.
  • Contribute to operational metric updates during plant meetings and lead reviews at the shift level.
  • Maintain open communication across all levels of the organization, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with the Plant Manager to set goals, track progress, and report on area metrics for continuous improvement.
  • Proactively manage production schedules, resolving issues and escalating challenges to ensure timely completion of targets.
  • Ensure seamless transition between shifts, maintaining effective communication and continuity of operations.

Profile

Ideal Candidate:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing leadership role, with a strong grasp of Lean Manufacturing principles, operations, and production workflows.
  • Proven track record of driving positive outcomes through Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, with a talent for fostering teamwork and collaboration across various departments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact and present to all organizational levels.
  • Experience in building and developing high-performing teams that drive results.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve impactful results, make immediate contributions, and lead with data-driven decision-making.
  • Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, welding processes, and related manufacturing operations is a plus.
