Description
Responsibilities:
- Lead operational improvements to align with business objectives, focusing on safety, quality, on-time delivery, inventory management, and productivity.
- Provide clear leadership and direction to employees, fostering a positive and efficient work environment.
- Develop employee skills across multiple areas such as continuous improvement, lean practices, safety, and process adherence.
- Actively promote safety protocols, identifying potential risks and taking corrective actions to ensure a safe working environment.
- Contribute to resource planning, including labor, space, materials, and equipment, and support cost analysis and justification when necessary.
- Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies to drive significant value and operational efficiency.
- Engage and lead the Electro-Mechanical Assembly team, fostering professional growth and team cohesion.
- Uphold high ethical standards, ensuring adherence to company policies and promoting a culture of integrity throughout the team.
- Contribute to operational metric updates during plant meetings and lead reviews at the shift level.
- Maintain open communication across all levels of the organization, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with the Plant Manager to set goals, track progress, and report on area metrics for continuous improvement.
- Proactively manage production schedules, resolving issues and escalating challenges to ensure timely completion of targets.
- Ensure seamless transition between shifts, maintaining effective communication and continuity of operations.
Profile
Ideal Candidate:
- 3-5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing leadership role, with a strong grasp of Lean Manufacturing principles, operations, and production workflows.
- Proven track record of driving positive outcomes through Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong leadership capabilities, with a talent for fostering teamwork and collaboration across various departments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact and present to all organizational levels.
- Experience in building and developing high-performing teams that drive results.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve impactful results, make immediate contributions, and lead with data-driven decision-making.
- Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, welding processes, and related manufacturing operations is a plus.
