Radiance Technologies, a rapidly growing employee-owned company, is seeking a talented Project Engineer to support the Emerging and Disruptive Technologies Group. The Project Engineer will directly support the Army's Manufacturing Industrial Base team to manufacturing technology advancement across multiple emerging technologies such as High Energy Laser (HEL) and High Power Microwave (HPM) weapon systems. Candidate will work as an individual contributor and within a diverse, multi-discipline team supporting and leading multiple, simultaneous efforts. Successful candidates are those flexible and willing to learn new and challenging technologies and apply proven as well as novel manufacturing concepts to the production of these unique systems, subsystems and components. Additional winning qualities: the experience to effectively communicate clearly with teammates, customers and subcontractors at various levels of technical knowledge; the confidence to advise owners of low-rate, immature manufacturing processes/lines on how to advance with respect to DoD manufacturing guideposts; and the ability to work within a close-knit team and bring an enthusiasm into a serious job to advance critical technologies towards service in the field along side the warfighters who need them. Responsibilities include: Serve as Technical Resource for the team on specific aspects of technology/science based on research and consultation with available Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
Generate requests for information (RFIs), industry surveys and other solicitations to collect the information needed to develop an understanding of technologies and the strengths/weaknesses of suppliers/supply chains that currently (or potentially) support demonstrator/prototypes for the Department of Defense (DoD)
Requests for proposals (RFPs) and other solicitations to collect/develop solutions to the challenges/weaknesses identified in industry surveys, etc for the identified technologies
Work with Project Analyst/Lead to develop detailed statements of work (SOWs) to outline the tasks require to implement solutions to industry challenges and
Manage suppliers to develop and maintain a project plan to match with SOW tasks
Evaluate and provide recommendations/ feedback on deliverables Project reviews

Work with suppliers and partners to identify and evaluate project specific risks
Travel to various sites across the US and potentially internationally for visits to subcontractor facilities, up to 20%
Support Project Analyst/Lead for day-to-day execution of assigned projects, reporting to the Program Manager Required Skills Ability to obtain Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant field Required Experience 5 years of relevant engineering experience
Experience with senior leader communication of complex technologies Desired Experience Experience developing and implementing processes in a manufacturing environment
Experience with Quality Management System best practices
Experience with Quality measures (e.g. FMECA, Statistical Controls, etc.)
Working knowledge of DoD acquisition processes and development cycles EOE/Minorities/Females/Vet/Disabled
