Mountain Manufacturing Engineer/Programmers must be knowledgeable about technological advancements and incorporate ideas to minimize costs without sacrificing the quality of services. They also need to be able to develop and implement Manufacturing Plans for Lathes, Mills and Screw Machines with SolidWorks and Mastercam.

The Primary Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineer/Programmer:

• Identifying areas of improvement with the manufacturing processes and escalates best practices for improvement.

• Designing and implementing new development setups that can be handed off to the production team.

• Programming in Mastercam software for multi axis Mori Seiki, Okuma, HAAS, and Nakamura machines

• Designing fixtures or work holding in SolidWorks.

• Mastercam programming for Mills and Lathes, including mill-turn and multi-axis tool paths.

• Design processes, CNC program, and set-up multi-axis machines with the intent of handing off parts to the production team.

• Developing manufacturing plans for current and new parts to run in the most efficient manner.

• Planning and optimizing our cells for the machine to be run with minimal operators and setups.

• Completes all required work order reporting and documentation.

• Confers with other engineers, production personnel or others to resolve machining or assembly problems.

• Interacts with all areas of operations, material management, engineering, maintenance, tool and die and quality assurance.

• Adheres to safety practices and procedures.

• Follows procedures as defined by Mountain Machining policies, procedures and ISO9001 requirements.

Required:

• Ability to read, interpret, and follow instructions, work orders and engineered drawings.

• Knowledge and experience in manufacturing processes (machine setups, usage, optimizations, etc.)

• Five plus years' experience with GD&T and inspection practices.

• Five plus years' experience in programming and development setups in a CNC machine shop for mills and lathes.

• Five plus years' experience in Mastercam using mill and lathe toolpaths.

• Five plus years' experience in SolidWorks creating fixturing and prints.

Preferred:

• Ability to read, interpret, and follow instructions, work orders and engineered drawings.

• Knowledge and experience in manufacturing processes (machine setups, usage, optimizations, etc.)

• Ten plus years' experience with GD&T and inspection practices.

• Ten plus years' experience in programming and development setups in a CNC machine shop for mills and lathes.

• Ten plus years' experience in Mastercam using mill and lathe toolpaths, including mill-turn and multi-axis.

• Ten plus years' experience in SolidWorks creating fixturing and prints.

• Renishaw probing and macro writing experience.

• Experience with the following machine and/or controller brands: HAAS, Mori Seiki, Nakamura, Okuma, FEELER, and Fanuc.

• Tech school certification in programming and machining.

• Black belt in lean manufacturing.
