Manufacturing Engineer YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR: Develop, implement, and maintain methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies. Interface with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products. Estimate manufacturing costs, determines time standards, and makes recommendation for tooling and process requirement of new of existing product lines. Maintain records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations. Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design materials and parts, fabrications processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards. Document procedures, process qualifications, work instructions, shop aids, routings, etc. Monitor product yield, provide product factory / field failure root cause analysis and corrective action implementation. Provide engineering support for the development of test jigs, fixtures, and gauges. Drive continuous quality improvement and cost reduction processes. Identify opportunities for preventing waste and inefficiency during production. Research and test design ideas to determine feasibility, utilizing lean manufacturing, kaizen, Six Sigma, and root-cause analysis to formulate and support innovation, corrective actions, and improvements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gain insights and direction. Other duties as assigned. YOU ARE THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS JOB IF YOU HAVE: Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering - prefer Manufacturing, Electrical, or Electro- Mechanical Engineering Experience with analytical tools, workflow time studies, and process balancing 3-5 years' experience Experience with building small prototypes Solid knowledge of manufacturing engineering concepts, principles, and theories Solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles Ability to clearly recognize and export information relevant to sound manufacturing engineering design. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, problem solving techniques, and quality processes Excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills Ability to work in a team environment. Travel as needed to customer and/or vendor sites Solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles Proficient with MS office Familiarity with ERP systems Experience programming ATE in Phyton Labview experience an asset Solidworks experience an asset Microwave RF experience an asset SECURITY This position requires potential access to technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
