Manufacturing Engineer The Manufacturing Engineer reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor and is responsible for developing and implementing improvement in the manufacturing process. Key Roles: Support production with a high focus on assembly and painting. Drive quality improvements through the manufacturing process. Drive process improvements to increase throughput. Responsibilities: Provide support for continuous improvement activities. Prepare time studies, BOM's, routings, and work instructions Assists production with training and issues (Heavy production floor presence) Assist engineering in new prototype builds and give recommendations to improve the assembly process. Train production on the assembly process of new products Assist quality with diagnosing and eliminating defects in the manufacturing process Analyze cell layouts and make improvements to maximize efficiency and ergonomics Design fixtures to help improve the manufacturing process (Inventor) Evaluate and eliminate waste in processes using lean manufacturing principles. Give recommendations for CapEx projects and plant layout improvements A hands on get it done approach Strive for an injury free workplace through a "safety first" attitude. Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. All other duties are performed as necessary. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering required 5+ years of experience in the manufacturing industry Location and Hours: Location: 60th Street N, Sioux Falls SD 57104 Hours: 8:00-5:00 Days of Shift: Monday-Friday A full benefits package is available for all full-time employees.
