Manufacturing Engineer

Implement Altizon systems to track and monitor OEE for critical machines for process improvements opportunities to increase manufacturing productivity. Design staging areas and modify current facility layout as a part of 5S initiative and develop staging procedures to improve productivity. Confer with Design Engineering to ensure designs fit the best manufacturing processes with a focus on quality and safety. Request engineering changes to reduce costs, improve quality or decrease manufacturing times. Research and analyse process improvement projects, including capital expenditures for new equipment purchase. Investigate and troubleshoot process issues as needed and advise Production manager of engineering problems or concerns. Participate in continuous improvement projects to achieve business objectives including participation in teams within the business and functional areas. Generate and implement critical operational methods or standard work for process engineers and operators to achieve process standardization. Implement SMED concept to significantly reduce changeover time and increase throughput by standardizing changeover process. Create Total Preventative Maintenance roadmap to maximize operational efficiency and increasing up time of the equipment. Full time employment, Monday Friday, 40 hours per week MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Masters degree in Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field and 3 years of experience with plant automation which includes PLC and MES. Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience in all of the following: Design software: AUTOCAD and SOLIDWORKS; Any one of the Data analysis tools such as MINITAB, SPC, Tableau, Advanced Excel, MS Office, MS Project; Project Management and Leadership proficiency; Lean and Problem-solving tools such as DMAIC and Poke yoke; Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis, Value Stream Mapping and Single Minute Exchange of Die; and Product design, Design for manufacturability, New product Development or sustainability engineering.
