Baltic Recruitment is pleased to support our leading manufacturing client in their search for a Manufacturing Engineer.

Overall Purpose:

The Manufacturing Engineer reports directly to the Head of Engineering and is supervised by the Lead Manufacturing Engineer. They support the definition and industrialization of new product introduction manufacturing processes and provide support to production and engineering teams.

Key Duties:
  1. Support process implementation.
  2. Provide support to junior engineers.
  3. Contribute to equipment specifications.
  4. Write specifications for new equipment, tender, and install new equipment, including training personnel.
  5. Work closely with Production to develop practices, routines, and solutions to improve productivity and product quality.
  6. Set up CNC centres and saws for new products; understand the use of different materials and tooling for specific situations.
  7. Troubleshoot CNC operations using RCA and incorporate robust solutions.
  8. Set up new production lines with existing and new equipment, ensuring compliance with project and production expectations.
  9. Optimize facility layouts, production lines, machine operations, and network performance using CI techniques.
Key Requirements:
  • Degree in Manufacturing Engineering/Mechanical Engineering, HND, HNC, or similar.
  • Proficient in CAD for data interrogation.
  • Strong skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of GD&T.
  • Experience with CNC machines up to 5 axes.
  • Problem-solving, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
  • NC Programming experience.
  • FMEA knowledge.
  • Experience with production trials.
  • Equipment specification skills.
  • Design for manufacture.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills for teamwork.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks or projects concurrently.
The Package:

40 hours/week with some flexibility on start and finish times.
